Man Dies Following Road Crash Near Cratloe – Clare FM





A man in his 30s has died after being struck by a car on the N18 dual-carriageway near Cratloe.

The incident happened close to the flyover in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted around 4 o’clock this morning to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at Portdrine.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital Limerick where he later passed away.

The road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.

The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
