Man in hospital following serious assault in Ongar

A man in his 20s is in hospital with serious injuries following an overnight assault in west Dublin.

Gardaí received a report of the assault at a premises in Ongar shortly after 12.30am and the man was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.

The scene outside a Domino’s pizza takeaway is sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and CCTV from businesses in the area is being examined.
