Man pleads guilty to theft of a BMW worth over £65,000

A Donegal man has pleaded guilty to stealing a BMW worth £65,000 (€76,900).

John Harding (56) of The Riverhouse, Gweedore Road, Dungloe, County Donegal, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court on Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty to the theft of a BMW 7 Series to the value of £65,640.81 (€76,979) from BMW Financial Services on July 16, 2019.

The single charge relates to an offence under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.

Harding spoke only to plead guilty to the charge.

The court heard that Harding has no previous convictions and defence barrister Mr Peter Nolan requested a probation report.

No further details of the offence were read out in court.
