Man Utd draw up three-man shortlist of striker transfer targets as club ‘contact agent’ of Serie A star
Manchester United have drawn up a three-man striker shortlist, it has been claimed.
We are set to see a transitional summer at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag’s future as United manager appearing uncertain.
The United hierarchy is undergoing a season review after a topsy-turvy campaign that resulted in Champions League elimination at the group stages, a poor defence of the Carabao Cup and the club’s lowest-ever Premier League finish.
However, Ten Hag led United to FA Cup glory, becoming the first manager to oversee successive seasons of silverware at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson.
Despite uncertainty over the Dutchman’s future, United have one eye on the summer transfer market, having allegedly drawn up a three-person shortlist of strikers.
As per Team Talk, United were interested in Benjamin Sesko’s services, as well as Sevilla dangerman Youssef En-Nesyri.
Sesko however, looks set to sign a new contract at RB Leipzig while En-Nesyri’s preferred destination is widely reported to be Tottenham.
However, the Old Trafford club are also said to be keen on Bologna frontman Joshua Zirkzee.
Despite a season that included 12 goals and four assists, the Dutchman is said to have a release clause of just €40million (£33.7million).

Team Talk added that the striker’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is due for talks with Milan over the next few days with the Rossoneri also exploring a potential deal.
But United are allegedly keen to meet the player’s wage demands, said to be around £100,000 a week over a four or five-year deal as well as pay the release clause.
