Man Utd get Olise transfer boost with announcement close – but hurdles remain
Manchester United look set for a Michael Olise transfer boost if they can overcome one major hurdle.
The future of manager Erik ten Hag is the story dominating headlines at Old Trafford with a final decision still yet to be made on his future ahead of the summer window opening. Links to numerous targets have emerged in recent weeks with Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite appearing to be the priority.
Benfica midfielder Joao Neves is another player of interest to United with Casemiro expected to depart and clarity on Sofyan Amrabat’s future yet to be provided following the end of his loan spell. Benjamin Sesko, Jean-Clair Todibo and Michael Olise are just a few others to have been loosely linked with several updates on the latter coming to light.

Alongside United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are also in the race but journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed it is the Blues that hold the advantage. However, as our sister site football.london have reported, talks are yet to be opened between Chelsea and Crystal Palace over a potential summer move for Olise.
United are interested in the Frenchmen but as they are yet to make their Ten Hag decision, any transfer dealings are not the priority and therefore likely to be delayed. Olise, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta all ending the season in great form has seen transfer interest arrive, though Palace are hopeful they can keep the trio.
Despite those worries, the Eagles are actively looking to bolster their squad. Oliver Glasner’s first summer signing looks to have been decided with Daichi Kamada to arrive at Selhurst Park on a free transfer with the Japan international completing the first part of his medical on Monday.
As such, a transfer announcement is expected to follow soon and with Kamada as an attacker, it could be proof that Palace are potentially preparing for life without Olise.
