Man Utd lose in funny fashion as rival fans mock Erik ten Hag for ‘blessing us’
The season has not even started and rival supporters are already making fun of Erik Ten Hag for ‘blessing us’.
This is after a mid-table Norwegian side came out as 1-0 winners in Manchester United’s first pre-season friendly.
The Red Devils conceded in the 93rd minute to Rosenberg in what was an uninspiring performance in Trondheim, Norway.
Dutchman ten Hag named a strong starting 11 for the match with Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jonny Evans all taking the field.

But despite having some big names on dispaly, United were unable to score and the only goal came at the death when Jean Holm fired the ball into the net for Rosenberg.
Ten Hag had made wholesale changes at halftime but rivals still mocked the United gaffer who recently signed a new contract with the club.
Before the match he told a press conference that ‘we don’t play friendly games’ and fans were quick to point this out when poking fun at the unexpected result.
After the final whistle blew, one Liverpool fan wrote on X: “New season, same mid club.”
Another Liverpool supporter went with: “The good old days are back.”
One person added: “Pre season friendlies mean nothing but still funny.”
A fourth said: “It’s only a training excercise but ten Hag is the gift that keeps on giving.”
Despite the tight scoreline, United had just five shots in the game compared to the homeside who managed 21 shots, something that was a constant problem for the FA Cup winners last season.
Notable admissions from the Man Utd squad included Amad, Antony, Victor Lindelof, Andre Onana, Jadon Sancho and Harry Maguire.
On Sunday afternoon the club released a statement explaining Maguire’s absence, it said: “Harry Maguire is continuing to work on his recovery from injury at Carrington.”
United have the chance to get back on track with a game against Rangers in Edinburgh on Saturday (July 20) before kickstarting the season for real with a Premier League opener against Fulham at Old Trafford on August 16 at 8pm.
