The Dutchman has survived a two-week end-of-season review from the higher-ups at the club so he will be in charge of the team on the opening game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

Off the pitch, there is now great hope with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS looking to oversee drastic improvement on the pitch following their arrival earlier this year.

No more Ed Woodward, and hopefully a structure which can set up the club for future success. Expect many players to leave and several to come in during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Our live Man Utd transfer blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Red Devils, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

There are expected to be many moves this summer with players coming and going, and the Old Trafford rumour mill is already in full swing.

Michael Olise, Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana are among their summer transfer targets as INEOS prepare to spend millions in the market.

More good news coming from Italy about the future of Joshua Zirkzee

Milan are standing firm in their stance that they will not pay the Netherlands star’s agent €15m in commission for the deal, according to Di Marzio.

This is holding up the deal and could allow Man Utd to make a hijack.

Man Utd expect Bruno contract talks

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes‘ agent is expected to approach the club about a new contract after Euro 2024 if he is not sold, according to the Manchester Evening News.

He has previously been linked with a move to Bayern Munich or Saudi Arabia this summer.

Fermin makes Barcelona stance clear

Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, but he says he is happy where he is.

“I’d be happy to sign a new deal at Barca, this club is my dream since I was a kid. I hope to stay at Barcelona for many years, it’s my clear wish,” he said in quotes relayed by the Mirror.

Zirkzee contact ‘positive’

Manchester United‘s first contact with Joshua Zirkzee‘s agent Kia Joorabchian has been “positive”.

Man Utd get Branthwaite warning

Former Manchester United striker Andrew Cole has warned the Old Trafford side not to expect favours from Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite.

“He’s 21 years old, Manchester United have offered £35 million plus add-ons, so why would Everton try and do them a favour and say that it’s a fantastic deal for them, especially when you consider the problems they have. Every centre-half that Manchester United has bought in the last 10 years, they’ve overpaid for. They’ve spent a fortune on them, so what’s going to change now? To get him out of Everton, it’s going to cost you more than £35m plus add-ons,” Cole said.
