Maura Derrane had a life reset after accident at home left her unable to drive
Maura Derrane had a little bit of a life reset after she fractured her wrist recently.
She has found the injury to be a complete pain as she struggles with everyday tasks.

Maura said: “You never really know what life throws at you, do you? I got in a taxi this morning. I can’t drive at the moment.
“I fractured my wrist nearly a month ago now. I have been forced into a little bit of a life reset, to be honest.”
Speaking on Radio 1 this morning, the RTÉ star said: “It is a complete pain. I didn’t realise how difficult it is to do so many little ridiculous things like tying your shoe laces, which you totally take for granted every single day.
“I was fumbling there on the stairs this morning, trying to tie them. It took me about five minutes.
“I don’t think we realise how many things we take for granted.”
Maura took a painful tumble in her home just before she left for work in RTÉ last month.
“It just shows you how easy it is. It was the simplest trip. I just slid in my heels, came downstairs, turned a corner and fell down. I didn’t think I’d broken it, I really didn’t,” she on Instagram at the time.
“I thought I basically maybe bruised it or that I had maybe a small injury, but I didn’t know that I had actually have two fractures. Not one but two, yeah that’s great. A lovely start to the summer!”
