Met Éireann issues Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for nine counties this evening
Met Eireann has issued an new Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for nine counties this evening.
There will be isolated thunderstorms with a chance of hail in Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Galway, Tipperary
The thinderstorms could lead to difficult travelling conditions, poor visiibility and spot Flooding.
The warning came into effect at 17.48 this evening and will las until sround 9pm tonight.
On Sunday it will be overcast for the northern half of the country but it will be dry and bright for many areas in the south with sunny spells and a few showers.
Temperatures tomorrow will be between 13C and 18C, while overnight it will drop to between 9C and 12C.
Next week will begin cloudy with some patchy rain and drizzle though there will be some bright and sunny spells at times on Monday. Daytime temperatures will reach between 13C and 18C while overnight they could fall to as low at 8C.
Any showers on Tuesday will mostly impact coastal areas in the north, while the rest of the country will be dry with cloud and sunny spells. Highest temperatures will be between 13C and 16C. Overnight it will be cooler when temperatures will fall to between 4C and 7C.
While Met Éireann has forecast that it will be more unsettled later in the week, Wednesday is expected to be dry with sunny spells and temperatures of between 14C and 18C.
