Mike Jewett joins coaching staff of Creighton Women’s Basketball
OMAHA, NE (Dakota News Now) -I’m excited for a good friend who will now be taking his coaching talents to Omaha.
Mike Jewett who was the Associate Head Coach at USD last year and the favorite of many to get the job after Kayla Karius left, will instead be the newest assistant at Creighton.
The Flandreau native has decades of experience at Augustana under Dave Krauth, SDSU under Aaron Johnston and most recently in Vermillion.
He stepped away from coaching for a couple of years to be Athletic Director at Brookings. But his love for coaching basketball brought him back to USD two years ago and will be a great addition to the staff of the Blue Jays who finished 2nd in the Big East last year behind UCONN.
