Surprisingly, the Mavericks are in full control of the series. Unlike the last couple of games, Game 3 did not come down to the last shot. Rather, Dallas is taking full control of the final 12 minutes. The teams traded points throughout the game, with the contest tied heading into the fourth quarter after the Timberwolves outscored the Mavericks, 35-27, in the third. However, Dallas bunkered down and put up 29 points to Minnesota’s 20, securing a 116-107 win.
The Mavs are now one win away from advancing to the NBA Final for the first time since winning it all in 2011. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving each scored 33 points for Dallas on Sunday night.
Anthony Edwards led the T-Wolves with 26 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns put 14 along with 11 rebounds to pick up the double-double.
Dallas is 5-2 at home in these playoffs, while Minnesota is 5-2 on the road.
