Daily horse racing tips

  • LINGFIELD
    2.35: Isle Of Sark 8/1 each-way (1.5pts)
  • WINDSOR
    6.10: Adrestia 10/3 (1pt)
    6.40: Midair 10/11 (1.5pts)
    7.40: Antiphon 5/1 Each-way (1.5pts)

Isle Of Sark

Goes well on the all-weather and is back down to a handy weight having placed behind Appier and Way Of Life here last week.

It was a rare poorer run having placed in the top three on all his previous six runs and ought to go better with Saffie Osborne back on board, who is in great form this season.

Isle Of Sark has placed second four times and third another four times in just 13 runs on the all-weather.

Adrestia

Pouting, the favourite, had a nice enough debut to suggest she’s going to get better.

She was just a short head behind Storm Call who herself had come second on her debut back in April. Storm Call went on to a Class 2 fillies race on Saturday but disappointed in last place.

However, Adrestia is an interesting debutant by Havana Grey, and fetched nearly half a million at the breeze-ups in April and comes into this with James Doyle on board another Simon & Ed Crisford-trained owned by KHK Racing.

Worth taking the punt on her at 10/3 in a field of 11 with this race wide open for a nice price winner.

Midair

Doyle is on another promising prospect in this 1m novice stakes, trained by Harry Charlton, owned by Juddmonte Midair.

Has a rating of 84 coming into this and is given 7lb allowance from the likes of Daarkom.

Midair is yet to win but has shown promise over the course of his five races, including a second to Caviar Heights at a Class 2 as a two-year-old.

Before coming second again at Kempton to Markoon and at Epsom in April on reappearance.

Ought to finally show what he’s capable of here.

Antiphon

This gelding has plenty of experience on the flat for a five-year-old with 38 races, five wins and as many as ten second place finishes.

Had to carry a rating of 86 at Epsom on June 1st in a hotly contested 5f Class 2 handicap.

Jack Doughty is on board again to claim 7lb and he stands a great chance of going even just one better here having placed fourth of 14 last time out.

Goes down to a mark of 78 today though and runs very well here with a record of: 114232212.
