Morgan Spurlock’s ex-wives pour in tribute after filmmaker’s shocking death
Morgan Spurlock’s former wives have paid tribute to the late documentary filmmaker after his death at age 53.
The Super Size Me director passed away on May 23 due to complications from cancer, as confirmed by Deadline. Following his death, both of his ex-spouses took to social media to honor him and share their grief.
Sara Bernstein, who shares an eight-year-old son, Kallen, with Spurlock, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram alongside a photo of herself, Spurlock, and their son.
“Thank you for all the love and support the past few days. We so appreciate it,” she wrote on May 26.
“As Kallen said to me, ‘Morgan was the best daddy ever and we will love and miss him forever and ever,'” she added.
Bernstein and Spurlock were married in 2016 and finalized their divorce shortly before his passing.
In addition, Alex Jamieson, Spurlock’s first wife and mother to his 17-year-old son Laken, shared a montage of photos featuring Spurlock and moments from their life together.
In a lengthy, emotional note, she expressed her sorrow and appreciation for his impact on their lives, “It’s impossible to put into words what you meant to your family, to your boys, friends, film community… to me.”
“I’m just so glad we were friends in the end,” she wrote. Jamieson concluded her tribute with, “I miss you dearly, friend. I didn’t know it would hurt so much. Rest now.”
