Muireann O’Connell asks fans for fashion advice after forgetting outfit for show

Muireann took to Instagram after the show to present fans with the dilemma that she faced before the show.

The popular presenter revealed she was supposed to wear a dress for the show as they had the Green Party leader, Roderic O’Gorman, on.

However, things weren’t going Muireann’s way when she forgot the dress and had a pair of jeans and a few choices for a change of top.

For her first look, the 41-year-old donned a stunning navy blouse that she paired with a pair of red shoes she got from Dune.

She felt that first option was “conservative” compared to the others which she feared could be too bright.

Showing off her second option, the Virgin Media star wore a classic purple cardigan from Dunnes Stores.

But, she thought it was too “casual” even after she paired it with some “old” leopard print heels from River Island.

If the cardigan was too casual, the presenter’s next option definitely was “way too casual” as she said wearing a pink sleeveless t-shirt she bought in Dunnes for €6.

Keeping with her chill vibes, Muireann tried on a long trench coat that she thrifted from Spice Vintage.

To tie her low-key look together, she paired it with a metallic carrier bag and baseball cap.

Seemingly defeated after trying on a plethora of different options, Muireann said: “Anyways, I’ll wear something on the telly, bye.”

In the end, she settled on wearing her first “conservative” option on the air.

She captioned her post: “Ok, are the jeans too travelling the railroads in 1920s America. I LOVE THEM.”

Friends and fans gushed over the presenter’s fashion sense in her comment section.

Caire wrote: “I love the beige cardigan with it Muireann, that’s my fave look!”

Edel said: “All are fantastic on you but casual looks are my favourite.”

Aine commented: “Obsessed with these outfits!”
