Muireann O’Connell & mum Marie show love for Limerick after loss: ‘What a game’

It was a family affair for match day on Sunday as Murieann O’Connell and her mum Marie went to see the Limerick v Cork hurling Semi-Final in Croke Park, Dublin.

The pair were kitted out in their Limerick jerseys to watch the game – and their spirits remained high despite the teams loss to their opponents.

Muireann said ‘what a game’ as she wished the Cork hurlers well on competing in the final.

The Ireland AM star and her mother were joined by TikTok star and RedFM presenter Miriam Mullins as they watched from the stands as the exhilarating game took place.

Taking to Instagram to share snaps from the day, she said: “What a game! We love you Limerick! Huge congrats to Corcaigh.

“Thanks for getting Marie to Croker today. She’ll be back with the lads next year!”

Unfortunately for Muireann and her mother, they were dissappointed as Limerick lost to Cork after the team were reigning champions for the last few years

Miriam also shared her own thoughts on the game in a post to the platform, saying that it was “intense” to watch.

She said: “Cmon Cork! it’s half time & the game is so intense aghhhh.”

The star was delighted after Corks win, with the team making history by knocking Limerick out of the running to become All-Ireland champions.
