Muireann takes on ‘terrifying’ challenge after ‘making a show of herself’ on TV
IRELAND AM star Muireann O’Connell is taking on a “terrifying” new challenge.
The Virgin Media star “made a show of herself” on the hit morning show last August when she attempted to hit a golf ball on air.
They used a Trackman golf simulator to see how fast and accurate their swings are and Muireann was apprehensive before trying it out and she was right to be.
When the Limerick native swung the club, the golf ball completely missed the simulator and went flying in the air.
Muireann fell to the floor laughing and said: “It went into the bushes.”
The popular presenter is attempting to redeem herself after the embarrassing moment as the takes part in a women in golf series alongside Ailbhe Garrihy and Kayleigh Trappe.

They will then be taking part in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open Pro-Am in August.
Speaking about the prestigious event, Muireann admitted: “I’m actually terrified because I have been slagged all morning at work by a bunch of people that play golf.
“They’ve seen my swing and I’ve been told it’s the ugliest thing they’ve seen, so that’s great.”
