The Brooklyn Nets defeated the New York Knicks, 92-85, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Tuesday.
While New York led 28-11 after the first quarter, Brooklyn rode a 28-15 second quarter to get back into this game. The Nets officially overcame that 21-point second-quarter deficit with a 35-23 fourth quarter, closing the game on a 9-2 run. The Knicks outshot the Nets in field-goal percentage, 3-point percentage and free-throw percentage while out-rebounding and out-assisting them. The Nets won the turnover battle, 20-14, while outscoring the Knicks in points off turnovers, 24-17. They also outscored New York in second-chance points, 21-11.
The Nets (2-0) were led by Jalen Wilson, who scored 15 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter. Jacob Gilyard tallied 13 points, three assists and seven steals. Noah Clowney collected 12 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Tyrese Martin led the bench with 16 points and five boards.
The Knicks (0-2) were led by Duane Washington Jr., who collected 21 points and three rebounds. Dmytro Skapintsev led the bench with 19 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three steals. Pacome Dadiet amassed 11 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
On deck for New York is a matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. As for the Nets, they play the Orlando Magic on Thursday.
