LAS VEGAS – The Detroit Pistons defeated the Chicago Bulls, 85-77, in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Tuesday.

There was only one lead change in this game, with Detroit overcoming a 16-point deficit to prevail. That came in the fourth quarter, with the Pistons going on a 20-2 run to take control. The Bulls led 31-17 after the opening frame, but the Pistons outscored them by 22 points across the final three quarters. Detroit shot 40.0% from 3-point range (6-for-15), while Chicago shot 23.8% (5-for-21). The Pistons also out-rebounded the Bulls, 61-41, while out-assisting them, 21-16.

The Pistons (2-1) were led by Marcus Sasser, who tallied 17 points, three assists and five steals. Ron Holland II had 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Jayce Johnson led the bench with 19 points and five boards. Bobi Klintman totaled five points, 12 rebounds and three assists.

The Bulls (1-2) were led by Matas Buzelis, who provided 18 points, three rebounds, two steals and four blocks. DJ Steward amassed 15 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals. Julian Phillips generated 12 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Both teams return to action Friday, with Chicago facing the Atlanta Hawks and Detroit playing the New York Knicks.
