NBA Finals on BBC, TNT Sports
The NBA Playoffs are coming to a conclusion, with the winners of the Eastern and Western Conference Finals, Boston Celtics and Dallas Maveriks, heading to the NBA Finals. The meeting of the pair means that the NBA will crown a different champion for the sixth consecutive season.
Basketball fans in the UK can catch all the action live on TNT Sports and BBC One. Game 1 of the Finals will be available to watch free-to-air, live on BBC One at 1:30am on June 7th. The rest of the meetings in the seven-game series will be available to watch on TNT Sports.
The Boston Celtics find themselves back in the NBA Finals for the second time in three years, having won 17 Championships in their history. The team, featuring the likes of Jayson Tatum and Kristaps Porzingis, are seeking an unprecedented 18th title which would break a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers who also currently hold the same number of Larry O’Brien trophies.
The Dallas Mavericks haven’t made it to the NBA Finals since 2011, but dynamic duo Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić will be seeking to lead their team to victory. Irving hasn’t tasted the Finals since 2017 but holds a near-perfect record for winning closeout games (14 out of 15).
