New coaching line-up for Ireland’s Fittest Family revealed

Crack open the popcorn, warm up your voices, and find a cosy spot to hide behind the couch because Ireland’s Fittest Family is set to turn with even more nail-biting thrills and feats of unbelievable endurance.

The beloved show returns for season 12 with a brand new coaching line-up. This year, coaches Anna Geary and Sonia O’Sullivan will go head-to-head for the first time.

Camogie star Anna is back on the show following the birth of her first child, and she’ll have to jump straight back in as she goes head-to-head with fellow Cork sporting legends Sonia and Donncha, as well as Clare hurling legend Davy.

Speaking of her return to the series, Anna said: “I’m delighted to be returning to Ireland’s Fittest Family this season. It’s bigger and better than ever before. I really missed it – the families, the crew, the coach rivalries, even the pre-race nerves. Donners was a great champion, but he’s had his moment in the sun. I’m more determined than ever to take the title back!”

Olympian Sonia will be sprinting back into action for her second season, bringing her world-class experience and determination.

On her return for a second season, Sonia said: “It’s so great to be back on Ireland’s Fittest Family. I have a good idea of what goes on now and hope to use my experience from last year to do even better this year, stay ahead of Anna and Davy and chase down Donncha to the finals and challenge for the title of Ireland’s Fittest Family 2024.”
