A former Garda Station in Clare is in line to receive a new lease of life.
Dermot and Lorraine Nolan have lodged an application with the local authority to repurpose the former Broadford station which closed eleven years ago.
The East Clare station was one of nine shut in this county in 2013 as part of a new policing plan.
Clare County Council subsequently carried out an inspection of the building but decided it was unsuitable for social housing use.
The facility remained unoccupied for the next nine years, before it was prepared for disposal and now a decision on plans to renovate it for residential use will by reached by August 28th.
