2.30 Chesham Stakes

BEDTIME STORY impressed on her debut at Leopardstown 16 days ago and receives the vote to make it 2-2.
The Aidan O’Brien-saddled filly is bred to run – she’s a daughter of Frankel out of Mecca’s Angel, the dual Nunthorpe Stakes heroine.
Bedtime Story started out in a nine-runner fillies’ maiden in Foxrock, where Ballydoyle supplied the odds-on favourite in Giselle.
But it was the stable’s second string who came home in front with a length-and-a-quarter margin of victory.
That success came in spite of evident inexperience – Bedtime Story looked rough hewn when asked to make her ground, but learned on the job to emerge a cosy winner.

There’s a chunk of progress to come as she bids to give O’Brien a record-extending seventh Chesham Stakes.
Age Of Gold , Pentle Bay and Defence Missile are all promising juveniles with claims of a place on the podium.

NEWSBOY’S 1-2-3: 1 BEDTIME STORY, 2 AGE OF GOLD, 3 DEFENCE MISSILE

3.05 Hardwicke Stakes

CONTINUOUS is the best horse in the race and should prove very hard to beat.
A Group 3 winner at Saint-Cloud as a juvenile, the son of Heart’s Cry looked smart but unexceptional in the first half of his three-year-old campaign, making the frame in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York and King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot either side of an eighth in the Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly.
But my selection’s career took off in the second half of the summer.
Returning to York for the Group 2 Great Voltigeur Stakes at the Ebor Festival, Continuous set himself up for a crack at the St Leger with a three-and-three-quarter-length success.
He followed up in the final Classic, charging home at Doncaster to hold favourite Arrest by two and three-quarter lengths before signing off with a strong-finishing fifth to Ace Impact in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp 15 days later.
Ryan Moore’s mount stands out on that form, with Middle Earth , Isle Of Jura and Candleford the most convincing candidates for the minor medals.

Continuous: the St Leger winner reappears at Royal Ascot (PA)
