Niall Horan has invested in Rory McIlroy’s new virtual golf league as reported by last weekend’s Sunday Times.

The former One Direction member has bought a stake in the Boston Common Golf team who will compete in the TGL Golf league. Niall is friends with the Northern Ireland athlete and caddied for him at the 2015 Masters.

McIlroy is a member of the team alongside Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley. Golf meets technology in TGL which is owned by TMRW Sports which counts McIlroy and Tiger Woods among its co-founders.
