Normal People stars Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones have finally revealed the “news” they’ve been teasing.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday night, the pair apologised for “leading people on” to thinking they were going to announce a second series of the hit show. 

“We are incredibly sorry if we lead people on, it’s not a season two announcement,” Paul said. 

Daisy added: “Not yet! There’s still time, keep the faith.”

The British actress went on to explain that they are hosting a charity raffle, with those who support the cause having a chance to win tickets to a marathon screening of season one of Normal People. 

The screening will be held at a cinema in central London in June, with winners getting the chance to meet Paul, Daisy and other cast and crew from the show. 

Funds raised will be going to Pieta and UNICEF, with over €12,000 raised as of Thursday evening.
