Ó Muircheartaigh funeral mass to be held Saturday

The funeral of the former RTÉ broadcaster and sports commentator, Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh, will take place in Dingle (Daingean Uí Chúis) on Friday and Saturday.

Mr Ó Muircheartaigh died yesterday at the Mater Hospital in Dublin.

His body will lie in repose at O’Connor’s Funeral Home in Dingle on Friday, from 11am to 8pm.

His funeral mass will take place at 11am on Saturday at St Mary’s Church in the town.

He will be buried afterwards at Milltown Cemetery in Dingle.

Mr Ó Muircheartaigh is survived by his wife, Helena, by his eight children and two sisters.
