Ohio State basketball offers multiple prospects this week

Ohio State basketball currently does not have a commitment in the 2025 recruiting class, but it doesn’t mean that there is a lack of effort.

The Buckeye coaching staff has been extremely active over the past week, sending out multiple scholarships to players who it believes could excel within the program. New Ohio State head coach Jake Diebler was a bit behind the ball, due to the timing of his hiring along with where the class was, in make their decisions.

There are still some great prospects that could end up as Buckeyes, and here are the most recent offers sent out by the Ohio State coaching staff.

The son of Carmelo Anthony recently took a visit to Columbus and landed an offer shortly after. He’s a bit shorter than his father at 6-foot, 5-inches and 185-pounds, but he’s a national prospect ranking as the No. 37 overall player.

Bynum can play either center or power forward with his 6-foot, 8-inch, 210-pound frame. He’s just outside the top-100, ranking as the No. 107 overall prospect.

A 5-star prospect, ranking as the nation’s No. 13 overall player, Montonati stands 6-foot, 7-inches and weighs 175-pounds. This would be a huge recruiting win for the Buckeyes, but there’s a long way to go in his recruitment.

Another big-time prospect in the 2026 class now with a Buckeye offer, Cloer stands 6-foot, 6-inches and weighs 180-pounds. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 25 overall prospect.

There is no doubt Ohio State is shooting for the stars, as Smith is also ranked as a 5-star coming in as the nation’s No. 12 prospect. He stands 6-foot, 3-inches and weighs 170-pounds.
