Paige Spiranac shares little-known Wyndham Clark golf tournament arrival fact
Paige Spiranac has shared a number of stories about Wyndham Clark on social media after the pair grew up playing golf together in Colorado
Paige Spiranac has shared some intriguing insights about her childhood golfing companion, Wyndham Clark. The pair, who both hail from Colorado, competed together in junior tournaments.
Spiranac, despite not reaching the same heights as Clark in professional golf, has carved out a significant role for herself in the sport’s media landscape. Her latest appearance was on the Random Golf Club YouTube channel with Erik Anders Lang, where she reminisced about her early golfing days in Denver.
During their chat, Spiranac dropped an interesting tidbit about Clark’s tournament arrivals. She revealed that his father, Randall Clark, would drop him off at junior tournaments in one of his most prized possessions – a Bentley.

“He used to show up at junior golf tournaments in his dad’s Bentley,” she casually mentioned, prompting Lang to joke: “No way, that’s… that’s rough,” reports the Mirror US. Spiranac first publicly acknowledged her connection with Clark after his 2023 US Open victory.
In a post on X, she wrote: “Wyndham Clark and I grew up playing junior golf together in Colorado. Everyone would always say he had something special and we all knew he’d make it. Now he’s a major winner! Very cool moment”.
Initially, fans misunderstood Spiranac’s heartfelt words about Clark, accusing her of trying to hog the limelight. In response, she clarified her joy at witnessing Clark’s journey to a major, penning: “I was adding a personal note to show how cool it is to watch someone be successful at every step of their career and how he was always a standout player even back at age 13.”
Clark opened up about his father’s influence on his career, revealing that the former professional tennis player instilled in him the necessary hard work and discipline. “My mum first took me to play golf but my dad was the one who really got me into golf. He picked it up just a few years prior to me starting at the age of three,” Clark shared.
“Every time I’d go golfing at a young age was with my dad. There are so many memories of us leaving at 6 a.m., our family on like a family vacation, and we’d play golf and come back before noon and that was the only way my mum would let us do that. There’s a ton of memories, and then he took me to tournaments.”
“My dad played professional tennis, so he’s an athlete,” Clark continued. “He gets it and he instilled in me hard work and discipline and I feel like I get a lot of my fieriness from him. My dad is a big reason why I’m out here.”
