Passenger dies at Dublin Airport following incident on plane from Spain

A woman has died after arriving at Dublin Airport on a flight from Spain. The incident on Tuesday night saw emergency services and gardai called following reports of a medical emergency onboard a plane.

Despite attempts to save her, the woman aged in her 60s was pronounced dead a short time later. Her body was taken to the morgue in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.




It’s understood the flight arrived into Dublin from Spain and no foul play is suspected.

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: “Gardai and emergency services were alerted to a medical emergency onboard a flight which landed at Dublin Airport, on Tuesday night, 18th June 2024.

A female in her 60s was pronounced deceased a short time after landing. Her body was removed to the morgue at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.”
