Paul Mescal sends fans wild with his VERY short-shorts as Irish star leads the front row glamour at Gucci menswear presentation during Milan Fashion Week

Paul Mescal adopted what is fast becoming a trademark look as he joined Williams’ sisters Serena and Venus at Milan Fashion Week on Monday,

Indeed, the short-shorts were back as the Irish actor mingled with some not-so normal people at Triennale di Milano, where Gucci was presenting its Spring-Summer 2025 menswear collection.

Mescal, 28, inevitably caught the eye after turning up in a pair of on-trend cropped shorts and a loose fitting blue dress shirt from the new range, teamed with a pair of white socks and signature Gucci loafers.

The actor already knows a thing or two about Gucci footwear, having previously been handpicked by the brand to front a recent campaign for their 1953 Horsebit Loafer.

On a warm day in the Italian fashion capital, Mescal wore heavily tinted sunglasses as he greeted onlookers before making his way inside, where a front row seat was waiting.

Joining the actor, tennis champions Venus and Serena claimed their own share of the spotlight as they posed for photographers on the Triennale di Milano steps.

Venus, 44, opted for a cropped white blouse and midi-skirt co-ord, a look she teamed with a tasteful burgundy leather trench and matching stiletto heels.

Younger sister Serena, 42, looked equally glamorous in a powder pink trouser-suit and matching lace shirt, partially unbuttoned to reveal her cleavage.

The pair were joined by their 72-year old mother Oracene, who opted for an embellished white shirt and jeans, and rarely seen sister Lyndrea Price.

Elsewhere Mark Ronson looked appropriately stylish as he took his own seat on front row ahead of Monday’s show.

The DJ, 48, wore a chocolate brown polo shirt over straight-cut trousers and polished Gucci slip-ons while attending the one-off event.

Man-of-the-moment Mescal shot to fame in 2020 after playing Connell in the BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People, before going on to become a darling of the indie film industry.

As his star has continued to rise, so has his heartthrob status; but he has also become known as a fashion icon as he has, perhaps unwittingly, influenced men’s style around the world since he first appeared on screens.

His next film, the highly-anticipated sequel Gladiator II will hit both US and UK theatres on November 22.

Paramount Pictures unveiled five minutes of unfinished footage from the upcoming epic during the final day of CinemaCon at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum in Las Vegas last month.

In it, Oscar nominee Paul’s character battles three-time Emmy nominee Pedro Pascal’s Roman general-turned-gladiator, man-eating baboons, and a rhino-riding warrior.

He took over the role of Lucius Verus, the grown-up nephew of the late Roman Emperor Commodus, who idolized the late general-turned-slave-turned-gladiator Maximus Decimus Meridius, famously played by Russell Crowe.
