Paul Whitehouse on The One Shows pleads ‘come back Gareth’

On Friday, June 28 there was a strong Welsh presence on The One Show with Alex Jones hosting alongside Roman Kempt and Gabby Logan and Paul Whitehouse as guests on the sofa. During the show, the Welsh football team came up in discussion and Paul begged for Gareth Bale to return.

While discussing Gabby’s time presenting at the current Euros taking place in Germany and her Scottish husband Kenny Logan and their son Reuben watching Scotland not make it out the group stages, Gabby said: “Being Welsh…” while Alex added: “At least they got there!” Want less ads? Gabby continued: “Wales obviously, 2016, didn’t just get out the group, they got the semi-final!” and Alex added: “They were brilliant!” Putting on a Welsh accent, Paul who is from Stanleytown in the Rhondda Cynon Taf, said: “Gareth! Oh Gareth, come back Gareth!”

I made the plea last year and I’m just going to tell Gareth that the offer is still on the table,” said McElhenney.
