PAULA BADOSA VS DONNA VEKIC PREDICTION

Paula Badosa has been in fine form this week and the very fact she is unseeded and ranked 93 in the world is somewhat misleading since she plummeted down the rankings due to her injuries in the last couple of years. The talented Spaniard produced a battling display to beat 14th seed Daria Kasatkina in the third round over three sets and she could have won more comfortable had she been a touch more ruthless and taken more than the four of the 18 break points she created.

Now she faces Donna Vekic who she has never met on the WTA Tour. She was involved in a very similar match in the third round against 28th seed Dayana Yastremska where she won in three sets. She took five of her 17 break points in that match and it too could have been more comprehensive if she had taken more. That said, it should not take anything away from another quality performance and she will relish this test against Badosa.

Both players have equalled their best ever performance at Wimbledon by reaching the fourth round but they will not stop here. We have a marginal preference for Badosa based on her performances this week but this really is a match that could go either way. Consider game better here and there is every chance this one goes three sets too given how well matched they are.

PAULA BADOSA VS DONNA VEKIC TIP: OVER 2.5 SETS
