Pedestrian dies at Cork University Hospital days after being hit by truck

A man who was struck by a truck in Waterford earlier this month has died in hospital. The pedestrian, in his 60s, was rushed to Cork University Hospital ten days ago following the accident.

The collision occurred between a truck and a pedestrian on the N25 near Ardmore in Waterford at around 6:20 pm on Sunday, June 9. He was brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries but sadly lost his fight for life this week.

The driver of the truck was uninjured following the collision, the Irish Mirror reports, and Gardai say they are continuing to make enquiries into the incident.
