Pedestrian dies in road crash in Co Donegal

A man in his 20s has died after he was struck by a car near Moville, Co Donegal, in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened at around 1.30am in Ballynally.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital for assessment.

The body of the man has been removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place.

The scene is preserved to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the area, and local traffic diversions are in place.
