Pedestrian taken to hospital and Tallaght Bypass closed after serious crash in Dublin
One person was taken to hospital after a serious road traffic collision on the N81 in Tallaght, which occurred shortly before midnight on June 24.
The crash involved a car and a pedestrian, the male pedestrian has been taken to Tallaght University hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are understood to be non-life threatening.
The N81 (Tallaght Bypass) near Tallaght Stadium remains closed and Gardaí are at the scene conducting a technical examination of the scene.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing”.
The Cabra Road is now currently closed in both directions near St. Peter’s Church due to a serious incident, emergency services are on the scene.
Motorists in Dublin can expect delays as a result, the diversions are in place at the junctions of N81-Fortunestown Road and N81-Citywest Road.
Another crash took place this morning on the M50 southbound between Junction 6, Blanchardstown, and Junction 7, Lucan.
The incident has since been cleared but commuters should expect delays in the area.
