Pink fans travel 200 miles to Liverpool for Summer Carnival tour
Thousands of P!nk fans descended on Anfield Stadium this evening for the singer’s Summer Carnival tour.
P!nk arrives at Anfield hot on the heels of Taylor Swift who brought fans from across the world together for a fortnight of Taylormania. Although P!nk’s tour is a little more understated, it hasn’t stopped thousands from lining the streets, enjoying the good weather and most importantly showing up to party in the city.

P!nk’s crowds prove once again that the city knows how to party. Many fans have travelled far and wide for tonight’s show.
Nicola Booth, from Huddersfield, opted for Liverpool despite seeing P!nk elsewhere in the country before. She told the ECHO: “This is our second time seeing her, we saw her last time in Bolton last year. It’s such a great show. We’re all big P!nk fans so we’re so excited.
“We really enjoy Liverpool. It’s a great city with a great atmosphere so why not come here.”
Joanne Morgan also made the journey from Sunderland to enjoy the show as part of her hen do. Joanne was accompanied by her friend, the soon-to-be Mrs Parish, who said: “We came up yesterday and we got to see the city.
“We’ve been for a few drinks and explored Matthew Street, we’re a little bit hungover but we’re excited to see P!nk tonight. It’s been a great time so far.”
There were also hundreds of locals at the stadium today celebrating with their families, friends and partners. People from every stretch of the region turned out in their best P!nk attire, bringing the area to life in a sea of colour you could see from a mile away.
Thousands of fans were in high spirits, mingling, singing in the street and enjoying the glorious weather. Debbie Rigley, 58, and Linda Crowson, 60, from Nottingham, were kitted out in matching P!nk outfits as they arrived at Anfield. They were celebrating Linda’s 60th today at the concert.
Emma Phillips and Carley Dutton, from Skelmersdale, love the message P!nk sends out at her concerts. Having seen her last year, Emma said: “The performance is great but what P!nk stands for is just amazing. She just celebrates everyone”.
