Plans for more than 400 homes in two separate Cork developments 

Plans for almost 250 new homes in Blarney, Co Cork have been revealed.

Clockstrike Ltd has lodged an application with Cork City Council for the large-scale residential scheme, which would be located at Ringwood, Shean Upper, Blarney.

The development represents phase one of the development in the Blarney East / Ringwood Expansion Area, and comprises of 246 residential dwellings.

That includes 101 apartments in four buildings, ranging in height from three- to four- storeys.

A further 30 duplex units, and 115 two- and three-storey houses are also included, ranging from two-bed to four-bed dwellings.

The proposal also includes a creche, which would be 380 sq m and have space to accommodate 61 children.

Car parking, EV charging points, bike and motorcycle parking, and open spaces are also proposed.

172 new homes proposed for Little Island

Separately, some 172 new homes have been proposed as part of a new project in Little Island.

Ruden Homes Ltd has lodged an application with Cork County Council, seeking permission for 172 new residential units.

It includes 146 houses of various size, 20 new apartments, and six duplex units.

A new creche and four commercial units are also proposed as part of the scheme, which includes vehicular access, footpaths, cycle lanes, and a new distributor road.
