Popular Irish business’s heartbreaking farewell as it’s ‘no longer viable’

A popular business in the west of Ireland has announced it will close over the coming weeks due to rising costs.

Forde’s 4D Off Licence in Ballyhaunis has been a mainstay in the town for more than two decades, but will soon close for good.




This is due to what the business describes as “ever-increasing costs and low margins” which has made this part of the business unviable.

The owners have taken to Facebook to thank all their loyal customers and suppliers who have helped them over the past 26 years.

However, in positive news, the other part of the business which includes Household / Haberdashery Embroidery and Printing + School Uniforms will not be affected by this closure.

Tom Forde posted: “We wish to announce that 4D’s Off Licence will close over the coming weeks. To facilitate this closure 4D’s will be Open (Mon – Sat) till 6pm from Monday 1st July.”
