Primeline Group To Create 400 Jobs In Meath | Checkout

Primeline Group has announced the creation of 400 jobs when it opens its €50 million distribution hub in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, RTÉ reported today.

The logistics company noted that the new 360,000-square-foot development is the largest Irish-owned net-zero-energy distribution centre.

Primeline already employs 1,100 people across Ireland and the UK, and the new roles will be in its IT, operations and sales departments.

The new site will also add to Primeline’s sprawling industrial footprint, already spanning over 1,000,000 square feet across the two countries.

The company makes more than 25,000 deliveries each week, to over 7,500 outlets around Ireland.

‘Ambition And Entrepreneurship’

Tim Cummins, the chief executive of Primeline Group, said, “The development of this hub, along with our investment in new technologies, is a product of careful planning and strategy, and is also a symbol of the vision we have for Primeline Group.”

The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Peter Burke, welcomed the development, saying, “The story of Primeline Group is one of ambition and entrepreneurship, and the group has built a truly impressive presence across Ireland and the UK.

“Bringing this new addition online will no doubt be a major asset to its growth in Ashbourne and the wider region.”

Enterprise Ireland’s chief executive, Leo Clancy, noted that the development is a prime example of the potential for Irish businesses.

Clancy said, “This company’s success is rooted in their ability to deliver on a first-class customer experience while also keeping an eye to the future of where the growth opportunities lie.”
