Queues spotted in shopping centre as thousands arrive in city
Long queues at a shopping centre were spotted earlier today.
Footage from earlier today shows a long line of families in the Metquarter in Liverpool city centre. They were queuing to see the Red installation located inside the shopping centre, which also includes the Everyman Cinema and the Liverpool Music Academy.
This is part of the of artwork located throughout the city centre to celebrate Taylor Swift’s three gigs in Anfield as part of the Eras Tour. The artworks are free for all to view, with each representing a different album or ‘Era’ of Taylor’s work.

The Red installation is based on Taylor’s 2012 album of the same name. She associated the colour red with the emotions she was experiencing from lost love whilst creating the album, with many Swifites associating it with break-ups.
Dubbed The Red Room, there are giant red lips, along with a red couch, guitar, table and guitar. Made by local artists Anna Mulhearn and Mulberry Workshop, Swifties are invested to see how many Easter eggs you can find from this era. You can view the artwork from 8am to 6pm.
There is another part of the Taylor Trial in the Metquarter, which is based around her Speak Now album.
Queues also formed at Anfield this morning as many Swifites headed to the LFC club shop to grab Taylor-related merchandise early. A total of 150,000 are expected to attend the stadium across three nights of gigs.
