Rai gets his putter working to share lead at John Deere

Five birdies in his back nine lifted England’s Aaron Rai into a share of the halfway lead of the John Deere Classic in Illinois.

Rai added a second round 63 to his opening 65 to move to 14-under-par alongside Taiwan’s CT Pan.

“That’s the biggest event for my country and myself, also. And it would be really cool to play well at an event that only happens once every four years,”
