Raiders roster 2024: Getting to know Alex Bachman
The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran wide receiver Alex Bachman as a free agent recently.
Let’s take a closer look at Bachman:
Size:
6-0, 190 pounds.
NFL experience:
He signed as undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams in 2019. He was cut after training camp. He was signed to the New York Giants’ practice squad later in 2019 and spent most of the 2020 season on the Giants’ practice squad. He spent some time on the Giants’ practice squad in 2021 and was cut in the summer of 2022. He spent time on the Houston Texans’ practice squad in 2022 and ‘23. He has played in four NFL regular-season games, the last coming in 2021 with the Giants. He has returned four kicks, one punt and has one career rush in the league.
College:
He went to Wake Forest and played in 32 career games.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Bachman, 28, is a longshot to make the team. But the Raiders’ could have an opening at the bottom of the 53-man roster. So, perhaps if he has a huge preseason, Bachman can sneak onto the roster. His best hope may be the practice squad, which has been his history in the league.
