Five potential landing spots for Bronny James have emerged as the NBA draft fast approaches – with the LA Lakers among the favorites.

Name value aside, the son of future Hall of Famer LeBron James is projected to be picked in the later rounds.

Nevertheless, all eyes will be on the James family should Bronny make it to the league. He and LeBron can become the first father-son pairing to play in the NBA and DailyMail.com can reveal the five teams who are in the hunt for the 19-year-old.

‘The likely destinations for Bronny currently are the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Lakers, with a wildcard being the Los Angeles Clippers or the Portland Trailblazers,’ a source told DailyMail.com.

‘With this year being a very lackluster draft class in potential star power, it has helped Bronny’s stock to rise where someone will actually draft him,’ they added.

‘The power that LeBron has in free agency and the power that both Bronny and LeBron’s agent, Rich Paul, have in the NBA almost guarantees Bronny to go to a team that will benefit all involved.’

Bronny entered the draft after only one season with the University of Southern California in the NCAA.

As a freshman, the former Sierra Canyon star played in 25 games and made six starts for the Trojans. In his lone college campaign, Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists as his team finished with a 15-18 record, placing ninth in the Pac-12.

‘If teams know that they can also get LeBron James on their team in free agency by selecting his son, more teams are willing to take the risk to draft Bronny even though he is likely never to become a superstar,’ the source added.

LeBron, meanwhile, just wrapped up his 20th season in the NBA.

This past season, James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists while shooting 54 percent from the field.

The Lakers fell to the Denver Nuggets, 4-1, in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.

His options remain open, as his two-year deal in 2022 included a player option for the 2024-25 season.
