Ronaldo adds to insane achievement after breaking Saudi Pro League record
Cristiano Ronaldo has broken a Saudi Pro League record after another stunning campaign.
The Al Nassr forward scored two goals in their league finale against Al Ittihad – a match that they won 4-2 to confirm second spot in the table.
In doing so, Ronaldo reached 35 goals for the season, breaking the previous record of 34 set by Abderrazak Hamdallah back in 2019/20.
As well as scoring 35 goals in 31 games, the 39-year-old also contributed 11 assists for Al-Nassr in his first full campaign for the club.
But his achievements are about way more than just one successful season.
After finishing as top goalscorer in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has extended a pretty staggering record.

As a result of his achievements, Ronaldo has now become the first player to be top goalscorer in four different top flights – the Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A and the Saudi Pro League.
Winning the Premier League golden boot with Man United in 2008, the Portuguese star was LaLiga’s top goalscorer on three occasions before becoming Serie A’s top scorer in 2020/21.
The only top-tier league that he hasn’t finished as top goalscorer in is the Liga Portugal where Ronaldo scored three goals in 25 games as a fresh-faced teenager in 2002/03.
Ronaldo has just one year remaining on his contract with Al-Nassr, with the Saudi side desperate to keep him in the league longer term.
Ronaldo will now be hoping to guide Portugal to glory at Euro 2024 which gets underway next month.
