RTE star ‘changed his mind’ on home renovations after making ‘crazy decisions’
RTE star Brendan Courtney said he “changed his mind” on his home renovations after he made “crazy decisions”.
The fashion designer recently bought a “tiny” 80’s bungalow in Wicklow Town to be nearer his sister, who’s recovering from brain and lung cancer.
The 52-year-old and his partner Adam Maryniak will be stepping away from Dublin City, where they currently reside, to live beside the seaside.
Brendan signed a contract to work with Larkrock Green Homes, who are going to run the entire SEAI grant.
The Keys To My Life star has been sharing updates on the renovations so far over on his Instagram.
The 52-year-old was back on the site recently to finalise the layout of the home.

The popular presenter explained: “I kinda had changed my mind over the positioning of some of the walls and entries for the house.”
Brendan went to the building site and marked out where some of the walls would go for the rooms to see if it worked.
He explained: “My architect came and was a sort of father figure, over viewing my crazy decisions and was telling me what would and wouldn’t work.
“It was like playing grown up Sims, I actually loved the process of ‘moving’ the walls.”
Brendan’s friends and fans have been following his journey along and have been loving his updates.
Laura wrote: “The very best of luck with the house Brendan. Really hope your sister is on the road to recovery.”
Another fan remarked: “You’re laughing with Ciaran on board, despite his Northern twang, he’s an honorary Blanchie. You’re in safe hands.”
Zoe said: “So cool. It’s your home at the end of the day! And ANY professional worth their salt will go with your flow, but guide you in what’s possible. So fun!”
It’s been an exciting time for Brendan as he’s also working on the beloved RTE show Keys To My Life.
The show has been hugely successful since it began in 2020 with presenter Brendan travelling back in time with celebrities such as Johnny Logan and Anne Doyle.
