Ruth, 64, stepped out in Weybridge to attend an appointment at a hair salon.

The telly presenter opted for a casual outfit consisting of a striped white t-shirt, black trousers and a pair of shiny black trainers.

The star kept warm in a rain jacket and accessorised with a brown bag and oversized sunglasses.

Ruth was seen holding a Stanley cup and also kept her wedding rings on.

The ITV favourite seemed in high spirits as she chatted to one of the salon’s employees and then headed across the road and jumped into her car.

Ruth and Eamonn’s split was revealed in an exclusive statement to The Sun on Sunday.

Their spokesperson said: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Pals told how the couple drifted apart in recent months, although Ruth recently visited him when he had a spell in hospital.

It was then revealed that Eamonn had moved out of their Surrey mansion for a property nearby.

Some fans pointed out a number of signs that the pair had split before their announcement.

Worried Eamonn Holmes fans spot ‘clue’ split could be taking its toll on TV presenter

One major clue was that neither of them had appeared on each other’s social media accounts for a number of years, as well as appearing at events together.

Ruth has also appeared to hint at struggles caring for Eamonn’s numerous health issues of late.

To add to that, Eamonn’s recent image with Linda Lusardi sparked concern from fans.

The Northern Irish presenter previously hinted at wanting to return to Belfast – which indicated that he wanted to make the move home.

The former couple had reportedly been “separated for a year” but wanted to “keep it secret”, friends say.

One source told MailOnline: “Ruth and her team have been telling their friends to look out for the comments, which they are planning to put on social media.

“It’s a very sorry tale.

“They are both so loved by the British public, they won over so many people on This Morning which they hosted for more than a decade.”

The pair were living completely separate lives for two years.

Eamonn and Ruth started dating when they met back in 1997.

However they kept their relationship away from the spotlight until two years later.

The former couple later welcomed their only son Jack into the world in 2002.

Eamonn and Ruth tied the knot in 2010.
