And Ryanair have said that they will have extra Dublin flights to and from London, Faro and Malaga in a boost to holidaymakers looking to still get away.

The airline announced that the added flights will be for Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.

In a statement, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer Dara Brady said that they have not increased the cost of fares in response to the strikes.

He said: “We decided last week not to increase air fares in response to the Aer Lingus pilot strikes.

“As a result, many of our fares next weekend have completely sold out.

“We are pleased to be able to add these extra flights to London, Malaga and Faro next weekend using one of our spare aircraft.”

There will now be two additional return flights to and from London, and one additional return flight to and from Malaga and Faro.

Fares on the flights to London Stansted start at €270 one way, fares on the Malaga flights start at €330 one way and fares on the Faro flights start at €340 one way.

Given the extraordinary demand, these flights are set to sell out quick so passengers must act fast.

Dara added: “These flights will sell out quickly so we urge all intending passengers whose Aer Lingus flights have been cancelled to book quickly and early to avail of these very scarce additional seats.”

The Dublin to London flight on June 29 is leaving at 06:45 and returning at 08:30, and on June 30 it is leaving at 12:15 and returning at 14:35.

The Dublin to Malaga flight is leaving at 10:20 and returning at 14:45 on June 29.

The Dublin to Faro flight is leaving at 06:15 and returning at 09:20 on June 30.

FLIGHT TRANSFERS

Ryanair have also revealed that they are now working with Aer Lingus to accept some transfer passengers over the next few weeks.

They said they are working with the airline to assist disrupted passengers when they have available seats.

Dara added: “We have also offered Aer Lingus some wet lease capacity over the coming days, if that will assist them to help disrupted passangers during these regrettable and unnecessary pilot strikes.”
