Samsung’s Galaxy Watch FE, rumoured to cost $199, may come in a single 40mm variant with black, blue, and rose color options.

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the rumoured affordable smartwatch model, the Galaxy Watch FE, in June. This highly-anticipated smartwatch is expected to be a 2024 refresh of the Galaxy Watch 4 model which was originally launched in 2021. Leaks about the upcoming smartwatch have been on the internet for some time now. Recently, the South Korean tech giant accidentally confirmed the ‘Galaxy Watch FE’ name on its official website. Moreover, leaked images of the upcoming smartwatch have also been shared on social media by tipsters.


Samsung Galaxy Watch FE: Expected launch date
In a post shared on microblogging site X (earlier Twitter), a tipster named Arsene Lupin has revealed that Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Watch FE on June 24.


This leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE model may become available before its rumoured July 10 event where the company is expected to launch its next-gen foldable smartphones.


Samsung Galaxy Watch FE: Expected price and more
According to a report by 9to5Google, the Galaxy Watch FE is rumoured to cost $199 (nearly Rs 16,600). The report claims that this smartwatch model will be available in a single 40mm variant and may arrive in three colour options — black, blue and rose.


Rumours suggest that just like the Galaxy Watch 4, the Galaxy Watch FE may feature Samsung’s Exynos W920 chipset, backed by 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The smartwatch may sport a 1.2-inch screen with 396 x 396 pixels resolution. This model is also expected to have an IP68 water and dust-resistant rating and may have an MIL-STD-810H-compliant design.

The report also claims that the Galaxy Watch FE is likely to run the current version of Samsung’s Wear OS skin. The high-end Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 series is also expected to run One UI 6 Watch based on Wear OS 5.
