Saoirse Ruane mam’s eternal promise to RTE star as family ask for strength
Saoirse Ruane’s family has shared a heartbreaking and poignant message as the brave Kiltullagh girl’s three-month anniversary approaches.
Saoirse’s man and dad, Roseanna and Ollie, have been mired in grief since losing their special girl in March 2024, but have kindly updated supporters and well-wishers since their daughter’s passing, thanking them and letting them know how they are getting on.
And this week, mam Roseanna shared a poignant six-word message directed to Saoirse with the public, outlining their pain and asking for strength.

With six words, Roseanna explained: “We’ll always hold Space for you, Saoírse…” The message continued: “12 weeks today. Mind us Saoírse, send us strength and buckets of love. We’re right behind you, pudsy.”
Alongside the message was a short black and white clip of mam Roseanna walking with her two babies, Saoirse and Farrah Rose, hand in hand, along with another clip of dad Ollie also taking his wee girlies hand in hand for a country walk.
The brief post said much about loss, with supporters and well-wishers sending their love and no small amount of hugs. Many offered their thoughts to the family and prayed for their continued strength in the face of such unimaginable loss.
Earlier this week, Roseanne Ruane also shared the ten year old footage of Saoirse when she was a tot as she marked nearly three months since the Late Late Toy Show star passed away.
Sharing the video on her social media, Roseanne looked back on the footage as she wrote how they were ‘oblivious to what our future held’.
