    2.25: Divina Grace 5/1 (1pt)

  • BEVERLEY

Live In The Dream

Live In The Dream is the big favourite for the opener of the premier raceay at Haydock.

The Achilles Stakes, a listed contest over 5f is an interesting one with eight runners in contention, including the 115-rated Live In The Dream.

He’s clear of the rest on that but he’s creeped up in the weights mostly from his win in the Nunthorpe Stakes last August, beating Highfield Princess at 28/1.

He went to Keeneland after and then Santa Anita to place fourth on both occasions and returned for his seasonal debut in May to place a close second to Kerdos here on soft ground.

And he’s the only one with consistent form including over here, being favourite for a reason as he’s upped his own level and ability over the last year.

Divina Grace

Really nice filly by Golden Horn who has been in the top three nine times from her 13 runs on the turf.

1m4f seems to be her ideal trip based on her recent and last year’s form.

She loves running on firm ground and has a record of 1112 since June 2023 on going officially declared as good to firm.

Hard to side against her in this with her consistency and might well be on the up again with her second run of the season.

Queen Of The Pride

Oisin Murphy gets the ride on this four-year-old filly by Roaring Lion in the Qatar Racing colours.

She’s very lightly raced only making her third appearance in May placing just behind Gather Ye Rosebuds and that experience could propel her to go further this season.

Realistically, this filly has the potential to be much higher rated than she actually is here and given they all run off the same weight of 9-2, there’s bound to be improvement from that decent listed race last month.

Shareholder

Favourite for his debut with trainer Karl Burke who often gets these two-year-old debutants ready to win straight from the off.

James Doyle gets the mount on this interesting Not This Time colt, who was a runner up in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, and related well to many winners and top-rated runners.

Cost 460,000 euros at the breeze ups and with Burke in the form he is it’s no surprise to see him favourite, with the weights also in his favour.
