Shopping experts pick 21 Amazon Prime Day deals out now and worth buying
Amazon’s largest sale of the year, Prime Day is set to take place next week, with the retailer set to slash prices on tens of thousands of products of all kinds from one minute past midnight on Tuesday morning (July 16) until 11.59pm on Wednesday (July 17). But savvy shoppers have already noticed that there are already big savings to be made on a host of brand names with bargain hunters snapping up everything from Ninja BBQs to hair straighteners with savings of up to 60% up for grabs.
Our shopping experts have scoured the best early deals and spotted some of the best pre-Prime Day discounts available – so whether you want to upgrade your TV, brighten up your outdoor space or pick up one of Kim Kardashian’s reported skincare favourites, these are our top picks so far.
Instant Vortex Airfryer – £49.99 (was £129.99, 62% off)
One of the standout early bargains of Prime Day is a kitchenware big hitter. While the InstantPot is possibly more recognisable to British foodies than any other product made by the firm, this 6-in-1 large-capacity digital air fryer comes highly rated with 4.7 stars out of 5 from almost 7,000 shoppers’ reviews.
The window on the front of the machine allows you to see how things are cooking without interrupting the cycle, while clever additional functions like the dehydrate, grill and roast settings make it worthy of counter space while special OdourErase filters make sure food smells don’t linger.
Oral-B i05 Toothbrush – £99.97 (was £280, 64% off)
Upgrading from a manual to an electric toothbrush can help you achieve a deeper clean and The Oral-B iO5 Electric Toothbrush For Adults is said to remove 100% more plaque than a standard non-electric alternative. Originally £280, it has been reduced to £99.97 and comes equipped with five cleaning modes, and an app that tracks how you brush in real time.
Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré – £14.08 (was £20, 30% off)
The Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is hailed as an ‘anti-ageing wonder cream’ and loved by huge name celebrities and their makeup artists from Kim Kardashian to Michelle Keegan. Reportedly selling one tube every 13 seconds, it usually costs £20 for 75ml, it was down to £15 last Amazon Prime Day, but is actually cheaper right now, coming in at £14.08, saving shoppers 30 per cent off.
The multi-tasking product is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins, which are ideal for creating smooth, supple and wrinkle-free skin. The cheapest it’s been in the last 12 months is £13.35, and you can bet we’ll be stocking up for the summer months. You can read our full review of the cream here.
Amazon Fire TV 43 inch 4-Series – £249.99 (was £429, 42% off)
As regular Amazon sale shoppers will know, some of the best deals offered by the retailers are on their own brand products and this one is a doozy if you’ve been considering upgrading your TV for the summer of sport. Fire TVs come with a host of smart features that integrate all kinds of streaming services into your viewing with minimal faff and have become hugely popular with shoppers since their launch.
There are huge savings of up to 45% on both the higher spec 4-series models and the entry level 2-series ones, which now start at £139 for the duration of the sale, but Mirror tech editor Dave Snelling recommends paying a little bit extra for the better version. Find out why here.
COSRX’s Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence – £12.68 (was £23.99, 47% off)
Another popular product last Prime Day was the COSRX’s Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. It contains the ingredient more commonly known as snail slime, which reportedly offers incredible skincare benefits including intense hydration, glow and breakout prevention . Last year, it was slashed to £11.90, and is currently £12.68, remaining at £22.49 at Boots.
Ninja Woodfire Electric BBQ – £236 (was £399, 41% off)
Beloved of foodies everywhere, airfryer gurus Ninja branched outdoors with its OG grill and smoker last year and it quickly became the UK’s best selling BBQ with shoppers loving the ease of cooking, versatility of the product and generous cooking space.
This is officially the lowest ever price Amazon has sold the Woodfire at since launch and is highly recommended if you’re in the market for a new outdoor cooking gadget. One word to the wise though, if you’re going to need accessories for it then it’s worth paying £2 more and picking it up in Ninja’s own summer sale – where it currently comes with a stand and cover included for £238.
Wireless earbuds – £19.99 (were £49.99, 60% off)
Complete with noise reduction, 36 hour play time, and an ultralight waterproof design, shoppers praise these earbuds as being low cost, but not low quality. Available in eight trendy colours with matching ergonomic cases, they are a great choice for using on the go with several reviews comparing the sound quality favourably to Apple Airpods.
While the best price is, as with all Prime Day deals for Prime members – and now really is the time to sign up for a free trial to get the biggest discounts – even without they’re still a healthy half price, coming in at £24.99 .
Unisex Crocs – from £31.99 (were £44.99, 30% off)
They may be the Marmite of footwear and their detractors may scoff, but if you are a fan of the ultra comfortable shoes then these unisex Baya clogs should top your shopping list.
Prices and level of discount vary slightly depending on your choice of size and colour although currently there’s plenty of availability in everything from bright to understated. It’s worth comparing prices with the current Crocs website sale though to make sure you are making the biggest possible saving.
Remington Shine Therapy Hair Straightener – £28 (was £79.99, 65% off)
Brands like Dyson, ghd and Cloud Nine have often paved the way in the hair tools industry – but this pair of Remington straighteners are better than any others I’ve used. Usually £79.99, the frequent bestseller were under £25 last Amazon Prime Day, but now sit at £28.
According to CamelCamelCamel, they’ve been as low as £17.99 on Amazon over the Black Friday period. Nonetheless, under £30 is still great for such a high-performing pair of straighteners. I tried them out for myself and actually preferred them to my ghds.
Lego Mercedes F1 car – £15.99 (was £20.99, 24% off)
LEGO is an Amazon Prime Day staple and we’re expecting plenty more sets to drop in price once Tuesday rolls around. For now though our top pick, especially after the excitement of Lewis Hamilton’s win at the British Grand Prix, is this stunning model of the Mercedes AMG F1 car.
The 240-piece set is perfect for budding engineers of all ages and has a pull-back mechanism that means it will actually race when completed.
Nestle’s KitKat and Friends big biscuit box – £17 (was £21.78, 22% off)
If all this shopping has left you peckish, one of Black Friday’s most popular deals is back with a huge chocolate deal that works out cheaper than the supermarket. This whopping £17 box includes 69 bars of chocolate ranging from three flavours of KitKat to Blue Riband and Toffee Crisp bars and at 25p a bar it’s a great way to fill lunchboxes or power tea breaks.
If you have space to store in bulk, Amazon’s grocery deals are always worth looking at on Prime Day – there’s also perennially popular deals live already for discount cat food , dishwasher tablets (a huge 57% off) and cleaning essentials .
Apple AirTag – £28 (was £35, 20% off)
With holiday season coming, now is a great time to invest in a bluetooth tag to tuck into your luggage to track it in case it goes astray. Amazon has reduced the price of Apple AirTags in single and multipacks, with the biggest saving on currently on the 4-pack. Of course similar products are available and can be slightly cheaper, with a pack of two Air Trackers coming in at £25.49.
Molly-Mae’s leopard jeans – £11.99 (was £15.99, 25% off)
Love Island beauty Molly-Mae Hague left followers floored earlier this year after revealing her expensive-looking pair of leopard print jeans were from Amazon. With leopard print remaining a major 2024 trend, the straight-leg jeans are currently £11.99 , and feature a high waisted design made from a ‘comfortable and breathable denim fabric’.
Ninja Speedi – £149 (was £229, 35% off)
Air fryers are, of course, an Amazon sale staple and there are plenty of other great ones already on this list and elsewhere in the sale . However, the Speedi is worthy of a mention of its own on the basis that when we tested it, our reviewer described it as a game-changer for midweek meals, especially when cooking for families.
What makes it different to other air fryers is the fast cooking setting that gives the Speedi its name and makes it particularly versatile and worth your time. What’s more at this price it’s actually cheaper than buying from Ninja direct.
Redken All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner Duo – £33.80 (was £41.50, 19% off)
Add moisture and hydration to brittle or dry hair with this nourishing duo from premium hair care brand Redken. Originally £41.50, the set has been reduced to £33.80 ahead of Amazon Prime Day. Packed with nourishing ingredients including argan oil, the All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner works to instantly detangle hair, leaving your locks smooth and shiny. The hair care brands claim the duo will leave your hair 15 times smoother after usage.
Amazon Echo Spot – £49.99 (was £79.99, 38% off)
Echo smart home devices are another sale favourite but this one brings something a little different to the table. The Echo Spot was discontinued quietly several years ago but is back with some nifty new features and also a special introductory price.
Doubling as an alarm clock, the Spot has all the functionality of the other Alexa smart devices and can be used to play music and control heating and lights. Unlike its previous version it does not have video compatibility, but if you’re using this on your bedside table you might not consider that a bad thing.
Perricone MD High Potency Classics Face Finishing Firming Tinted Moisturizer – £45.44 (was £61, 26% off)
Currently 26% off, Amazon shoppers can buy this ‘miracle in a jar’ cream for £45.44. You can ditch your foundation and use the Perricone MD moisturiser for a skin-perfecting makeup look thanks to the encapsulated pigments, while its “one shade fits all” blends into the skin upon application to reveal a warm tint that adjusts to your individual skin tone. It also comes with SPF 30 and is packed with antioxidants to minimise the appearance of wrinkles and imperfections.
Furbo 360° Dog Camera £179.99 (was £199.99, 10% off)
We’ve tested out several different pet cameras in a quest to find the best, and after putting several through their paces, the Furbo 360° Dog Camera is by far the most superior. This camera has provided invaluable peace of mind, and its features are fantastic, from the 360 degree view, to two-way audio and treat tossing. It’s integrated really well into the home and neither of the dogs have tried to pull it off the side and eat all of the treats in it… yet.
Mielle Rosemary Mint Hair Growth Oil – £7.60 (was £11.25, 25% off)
If your tresses could do with a little TLC then you may want to find out everything there is to know about the best selling Mielle Rosemary Mint Hair Growth Oil that’s been slashed to £7.93 on Amazon, only a few pence more than last year’s price of £7.84. The rosemary mint oil has grown in popularity in the past year racking up over 200 million views on TikTok after influencer Alix Earle raved about its hair growth properties which appealed to those with all hair types.
Dr. Martens Women’s Blaire Sandal – £81 (was £118, 31% off)
Last Prime Day saw a plethora of lace-ups, sandals, Chelsea boots, Oxford shoes and more from Dr Martens vastly reduced and we expect this time to be no different – especially seeing as the brand consistently runs sales throughout the year on the shopping giant. Some of its shoes are even reduced at the moment on there, for example its Dr. Martens Women’s Blaire Sandal are currently £83.30 down from £110 (the RRP on Dr Martens’ website). Not to mention the iconic Dr. Martens Unisex-Adult Virginia 1460 Lace-Up Boots are now £136 (was £170).
Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner – £255.03 (was £279, 9% off)
The Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with single battery is available for £279.99 on the Shark Clean website, but you can actually get it cheaper on Amazon at £255.03 . Said to be ‘perfect for homes with pets’ the flexible cordless vacuum is engineered with Shark’s signature Anti Hair Wrap Technology, which separates and removes hair from the motorised brush-roll as you clean, meaning it’s suitable for long and short pet hair.
The vacuum is lightweight and easy to use, with Flexology that allows for it to be manoeuvred into hard to reach areas, and means it can be folded for compact storage. The max suction trigger is amazing for those stubborn spots and embedded hair, plus it converts to handheld so it can also be used for the car as well as the home.
